What is a Chemical Peel?
What is a SkinMedica® peel? Our 3 peels are a medium-depth chemical peel for all skin types, our peels are medical grade and only available to a medical professional. We offer 3 choices in chemical peels. Our RN Aesthetician will help you determine the best peel for your skin and desired results. Your provider will then clean your skin, apply the solution, the treatment is a quick 10-15 minutes. Burning or stinging are rare as there is a numbing agent in the peel.
- Vitalize Peel helps to provide vibrant, radiant skin with minimal down time. The Vitalize Peel diminishes the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and addresses uneven skin tone that can be caused by acne scarring or other pigmentary changes. Appropriate for mild to moderate skin imperfections.
- Illuminize Peel helps provide vibrant, radiant looking skin with minimal downtime. The Illuminize peel brightens your overall skin appearance, while addressing aging skin, faded/dull looking skin tone, along with uneven skin tone. Appropriate for mild skin imperfections.
- Rejuvenate Peel will smooth the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and roughness. You may see noticeable improvement after just one peel and compelling results after three to six peels. Appropriate for moderate to severe skin imperfections.
We will review post-peel care, sending you home with instructions to follow. Peeling begins around day 3 and may last for 2-4 days. Results are seen within 7 days. While there can be a significant improvement after a single peel, several may be needed about 1 month apart to achieve your desired results.
